This GEA PowerGrind 280 has undergone a complete overhaul by the Barsso engineering team for a customer in Iceland.
The customer was specifically looking for a reliable machine from a premium A-brand, and we were able to offer this GEA PowerGrind as the ideal solution.
Originally part of a complete processing line, we successfully converted the machine back into a fully stand-alone operating unit. Our technicians restored the machine to OEM condition, carrying out a thorough inspection and revision of all technical components.
Following this comprehensive refurbishment, the machine was prepared and delivered within a short timeframe — ready to perform as a true powerhouse in its new production environment.

Florigo Frying Line Dismantled Safely and Efficiently by Barsso
Following the acquisition of this Florigo industrial frying line for potato specialties, the Barsso team carried out a complete A-to-Z dismantling of the installation.
Our specialists managed the entire process in full compliance with safety regulations. This included the disconnection of all electrical systems and the dismantling of piping, strictly following the guidelines set by the site safety coordinator.
In addition, key components such as the filtration unit, pumps, and heat exchanger were carefully dismantled and prepared for transport. The entire line was then safely escorted out of the facility and loaded onto our truck.
All activities were completed within the agreed timeframe, ensuring minimal disruption to the ongoing production process.

Overhauling forming machine
The GEA forming machine, model VM 600HS Koppens, has undergone a thorough overhaul. The restoration process began with completely rebuilding the machine from the frame. All parts were carefully disassembled, inspected, and refurbished. Where necessary, parts were replaced with new ones.
The electrical system received a complete rewiring, and all electrical components are brand new. The pneumatic system has also been entirely renewed. In the hydraulic system, the base block was thoroughly cleaned, degreased, and repainted. All hydraulic valves, couplings, and hoses were replaced, while the hydraulic pump underwent a full overhaul and pressure test on a test bench. The hydraulic motors for the screws have been replaced with new ones, and the hydraulic cylinders for the pressing block and mold plate are new.
After a thorough cleaning, the machine's frame received a surface treatment, making it look like new again. With this extensive overhaul, Barsso aims to deliver its machines sustainably, reliably, and affordably.

This fully refurbished frying line underwent a complete transformation, being entirely dismantled and newly assembled. Designed for optimal efficiency, the industrial frying line model BRN 3000/500 features electrically heated resistances and upper and lower conveyors for frying a variety of snack products.

CFS AutoGrind 280 Frozen Block Grinder Refurbishment
This 20-year-old frozen block grinder, equipped with a powerful 75 KW motor and driven by a Knödler gearbox with V-belts, has undergone a complete refurbishment for one of our Canadian clients in the pet food industry. The machine has been fully renewed both internally and externally. The electrical systems have been entirely upgraded using original GEA/CFS controls. Additionally, a safety pull cord has been optionally installed on top of the grinder.
All signs of operational wear have been carefully repaired and the affected surfaces have been re-machined to restore a perfectly flat finish. The frame has received a specialized surface treatment that significantly reduces dirt adhesion and improves overall cleanability.
From a mechanical perspective, the drive system has been fully renewed. The gearbox has been re-bearinged and all seals have been replaced with original OEM components to ensure optimal reliability and performance.
In addition, the wear in the knife housing has been professionally repaired, restoring the component to its proper functional condition.

The SM 180 is the smallest machine in the Siefer range. Despite its compact design, it delivers remarkable performance and reliability across a wide variety of industries. Thanks to its high drive power of up to 45 kW, the SM 180 can reach speeds of up to 5,400 revolutions per minute and achieve a throughput of up to 28 cubic metres per hour (based on water). It easily processes particles with diameters of up to 15 mm. As a result, even demanding production tasks are handled effortlessly by our smallest machine.

Seydelmann K556 Ultra – Fully Serviced by Barsso, Ready for Production
This impressive Seydelmann Cutter K556 Ultra has recently undergone a complete service overhaul by the Barsso engineering team. The seven-year-old machine was previously used in the cosmetics industry, where it eventually no longer had a role in the production process.
At Barsso, we gave the machine a full technical service and prepared it for a new chapter. We are pleased to say that it has now found a new home in the sausage production industry.
With its powerful performance and robust design, this cutter will undoubtedly prove its value in its new environment — producing high-quality sausage mixtures for many years to come.

Fully Refurbished Glass VSM 800 with Custom PLC Control and Advanced Process Features
This fully refurbished Glass VSM 800 scraping mixer has been upgraded according to specific customer requirements by the Barsso engineering team.
The machine has been equipped with a custom step-control system, featuring a Siemens S7-1200 PLC combined with a Simatic HMI, allowing precise control and flexible process management.
The unit features a double-walled process vessel, suitable for steam heating, with three independent heating zones (bottom, zone 1 and zone 2). In addition, the system is designed for cooling with glycol or ice water and is fully vacuum capable, making it highly versatile for demanding processing applications.
Additionally, we integrated a custom injection system for water and enzymes, enabling accurate dosing during the mixing process and expanding the machine’s functionality for specialized production processes.
