Koppens

Koppens – legacy brand in convenience food processing technology

Koppens was a pioneering brand in the food processing industry and is widely recognised as the first convenience food equipment brand within the GEA Group. The brand built a strong global reputation for its extensive range of machines for forming, coating and thermal processing, supporting industrial production of a wide variety of convenience foods.

Koppens machines were designed for robust, continuous operation and are still found today in many production facilities worldwide.

Koppens processing technology

The Koppens portfolio covered nearly the entire convenience food production process, including:

  • Forming machines for shaped meat, poultry, fish and alternative protein products
  • Coating systems, including:
    • flouring (predusting)
    • battering
    • breading
  • Thermal processing equipment, such as:
    • fryers
    • baking and roasting ovens
    • cooking and finishing systems

This broad range allowed Koppens to deliver complete, integrated processing lines for breaded and cooked convenience products, making the brand a reference point for many processors around the world.

Koppens today

The Koppens brand no longer exists as an active standalone brand, but a large number of Koppens machines remain in daily operation. Their durability and industrial design have ensured long service lives, and many installations continue to play a key role in production environments decades after installation.
